Cold & Flu Season: Fire Ciders & Oxymels Making by RieAnn @ Yellow Barn Farm

Learn how to make zesty fire ciders and sweet oxymels to boost your health naturally!

Cold and flu season is arriving. As the weather changes and the leaves fall, perhaps our bodies need a little autumn cleaning to say goodbye to things we don’t need anymore and prepare us for what is to come. Join me at the tableside for Wellness Wednesday to learn how to make spicy and powerful firecider and oxymel, modern and traditional herbal medicine recipes.

Never heard of an oxymel? The name comes from the Greek for "sour" and "honey," and that's exactly what it is: herbs steeped in vinegar and raw honey. Where fire cider is bold and fiery, an oxymel is its gentler, sweeter cousin, a tangy herbal syrup people have been making since ancient Greece. Take it by the spoonful, stir it into tea, or splash it into sparkling water. You'll leave with both recipes and a clear sense of which one suits you.
